About The Position

VIC the PICC ("VTP") is a specialized healthcare provider focused on vascular access consulting services to acute care hospitals, skilled nursing facilities and home healthcare. We provide vascular access device insertion services, post access support services including declotting, line removal, port access and venous access troubleshooting. VTP also provides continuing education, precepting and other educational support to clinical team members and customers. VTP provides on-site and mobile vascular access support services throughout the Western and Southern United States and prides itself on delivering innovative, affordable and easy to procure services with high levels of client and patient satisfaction. Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with current, active license
  • Experience placing ultrasound-guided IVs (USGIVs)
  • Experience in vascular access device (VAD) management, including care, maintenance, and troubleshooting
  • American Heart BLS Certification
  • Valid driver's license, active auto insurance, and reliable transportation
  • Ability to work independently and meet scheduling requirements as indicated by job classification
  • Must possess a smart phone
  • Must LOVE vascular access
  • USGIV experience is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 3 years of acute care RN experience
  • Experience placing PICCs, midlines, or other vascular access devices using ultrasound
  • Prior vascular access or PICC experience

Responsibilities

  • Place PICCs, midlines, and peripheral IVs using ultrasound guidance
  • Utilize ECG technology for PICC tip confirmation
  • Assist with management of PICCs and other vascular access devices
  • Provide vascular access support services including port access, line removal, and declotting
  • Educate facility nursing staff on PICCs, midlines, and other CVADs
