About The Position

This Registered Nurse (RN) position is for Roper St. Francis Healthcare's Signature Primary Care practice, which operates as a concierge practice. The practice limits its patient load to a maximum of 450 patients to ensure personalized and attentive care, fostering stronger relationships and providing individualized attention. On average, about 10 patients are seen per day, excluding lab or nurse visits, allowing for comprehensive and unhurried consultations. The role involves providing patient care using approved protocols, facilitating timely communication of clinical advice electronically or by phone, ensuring medical records are available to care teams, and coordinating with other team members for exceptional patient service. Training on the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system will be provided.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
  • One to two years RN experience, preferable.
  • Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of South Carolina or holds a current compact/multi-state license as a Registered Nurse in a recognized NCSBN Compact State and is not a permanent resident of SC.
  • Must have a current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider Card.
  • Requires the ability to use clinical equipment including EKG machine, spirometer, Hemocue, Pulse Oxymeter.
  • Must have basic knowledge of medication policy and procedure and effectively utilize assessment skills for triage and patient care.
  • Must be able to assist physician with outpatient office procedures.
  • Strong patient-centered focus.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees and the public.
  • Ability to organize and manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to problem solve and show good judgment.

Responsibilities

  • Provides patient care at Roper St. Francis Health Care sites, as assigned, using approved protocols.
  • Facilitate the timely communication of clinical advice to patients electronically or by phone as directed by practice providers.
  • Ensure all needed medical records are available to care teams and providers prior to patient’s office visit.
  • Coordinate with other team members to provide exceptional patient service.
  • Receive training on the Electronic Health Record system (EHR).
