About The Position

This position delivers patient care utilizing the nursing process through data collection and assessment. The role involves identifying and determining the priority of patients' problems/needs, evaluating the process and outcome of nursing care, coordinating and providing patient teaching, and coordinating the care provided by health team members. In collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team, the RN conducts initial and ongoing patient assessments, analyzes assessment data, creates a plan of care, implements treatment, and evaluates treatment effectiveness. The role also includes administering medications safely and serving as a point of contact for patients' care coordination throughout hospital departments. The RN acts as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement in the department and incorporates the professional practice model into care delivery.

Requirements

  • Valid nursing license from the state of practice (required)
  • Associate of Nursing, nursing (required) OR Diploma in Nursing (required)

Nice To Haves

  • BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (preferred)
  • Bachelors of Science, nursing (preferred)
