As a Registered Nurse (RN) in our 12-bed Preoperative unit, you will play a vital role in preparing patients for surgical procedures, delivering compassionate, high-quality care, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible patient outcomes. Requirements

  • Current state or compact state RN license
  • Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school
  • BLS / ACLS / PALS certifications
  • Must have a current state or compact state RN license.
  • Associate's degree required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Pre and Post Experience Preferred
  • BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs duties as assigned and requested.
  • Completes focused patient assessments and reassessments based on patient’s condition, procedures, medications, and treatments.
  • Adequately assesses and reassesses pain; utilizes appropriate pain management techniques.
  • Provides patient care and communicates effectively with patients of all ages and with specific needs.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of medications and ensures correct administration following the six rights to minimize medication errors.
  • Assists physicians with procedures and provides services requiring technical and manual skills.
  • Performs treatments and delivers care within licensure scope.
  • Ensures patient safety by performing all aspects of care in an environment that reduces the likelihood of errors.
  • Operates and manages equipment safely and correctly.
  • Educates patients and families on disease processes and recovery expectations.
  • Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
  • Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts/units as needed.
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
