About The Position

Fairview is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Perianesthesia team at our Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville, MN! Our Perianesthesia nursing staff provides quality and compassionate care for patients before and after same-day surgery/procedure as well as surgeries that occur before and during admission to the hospital. We provide emotional & educational support with preoperative phone calls, during their stay with us and post-operative follow-up phone calls. Our team of nurses and techs/nursing assistants work closely with multiple disciplines to provide a patient and family centered experience. At Ridges Hopital we perform approximately 8,000 surgical cases per year in our 12 OR rooms using the latest in technology. Perianesthesia supports 12 PACU bays and 18 Pre/post op Bays. OR specialty areas including: Spine, Ortho, OB-GYN, General, ENT, and Urology. Proactive pre-admitting department that prepares Pediatrics-Adult patients in advance of their visit and collaborates closely with Anesthesia. Child Life is available on site to work with pediatric patient. Procedures range from out-patient to surgical admissions, and include pediatric to geriatric patient population.

Requirements

MN Registered Nurse (RN) License
Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)
2-3 years’ experience as RN in a PACU/ ICU/ED or other critical care areas, including experience with advanced airways and telemetry.
Requires ability to provide written validation of current ACLS, PALS or PEARS competency or ability to obtain written validation within 6 months of hire.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in nursing
1-3 years of experience as RN in Perianesthesia
Perianesthesia certification
