Requirements
- 1+ Year Emergency Room RN experience required
- Associates in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing required.
- Licensed and currently registered as a professional nurse in New York State.
- BLS required for all RN’s.
- ACLS required for PACU, ED, S Unit, and all critical care areas.
- PALS required for ED and PACU.
Nice To Haves
- Passion for the Emergency Room
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Triage, assessment, diagnosis, planning, and evaluation of care for emergent cases.
- Treat patients for services including critical care cases and rapid response codes.
- Partner with an interdisciplinary team including, but not limited to, attending physicians, registered nurses (RN), and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Advocate for and build meaningful relationships with patients and loved ones through safety intervention, emotional support and education.
