About The Position

This position is for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) in Pediatric Adolescents at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. The role is full-time, working nights (7p-7a) on a 16-bed acute care unit that cares for children ages 12-21 with a variety of medical conditions. The unit culture emphasizes adaptability, collaboration, and continuous learning, aiming to provide safe, evidence-based, and family-centered care in a positive and resilient environment. The team values strong teamwork and communication.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of RN experience required.
• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of Peds experience preferred.

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process.
• Deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Utilize evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and communication skills.
• Lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
