About The Position

Join Castor Home Nursing for a Rewarding Career in Pediatric Home Care! Are you an RN looking for a consistent evening schedule and the opportunity to provide meaningful one-on-one care? Castor Home Nursing is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to provide private duty nursing care for a teenager in the Peoria area. This is a great opportunity for a nurse who enjoys building a relationship with one patient and family while providing focused, individualized care in the comfort of their home. The RN will provide skilled nursing care during the 4:00 PM–11:00 PM shift, with a primary focus on TPN administration and central line care. Central line experience is strongly preferred. You will work closely with the family, physicians, and Castor's clinical team to ensure safe, high-quality care while supporting the patient's health, independence, and quality of life.

Requirements

Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
Graduate of an accredited nursing program

Nice To Haves

Central line experience preferred
TPN experience preferred
Strong assessment and communication skills
Pediatric or private duty nursing experience is a plus
Nurses who may need additional case-specific training are encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

Administer and monitor TPN feedings as ordered
Provide appropriate central line care and monitoring
Monitor the patient's condition, vital signs, and response to treatment
Administer prescribed medications and treatments
Follow the individualized plan of care
Complete accurate and timely nursing documentation
Communicate changes in condition or concerns to the clinical team
Provide compassionate, age-appropriate care and support to the patient and family
