About The Position

This is a contract position for a Registered Nurse (RN) in a Pediatric Outpatient Clinic at the Northern Navajo Medical Center in Shiprock, NM. The role involves assessing and treating pediatric patients aged 0-18, administering medications and treatments, monitoring vital signs, supporting chronic care cases, educating families, and assisting providers. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, with a 6-month base contract and extension options. The nurse may also be required to float to other units when needed.

Requirements

• Active RN license
• BLS required
• Strong clinical and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced outpatient setting

• Pediatric experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat pediatric patients ages 0–18
• Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments
• Monitor vitals and perform patient evaluations
• Support chronic care cases such as asthma and diabetes
• Educate families on care plans and safety
• Assist providers and coordinate patient care
• Float to other units when needed
