As a nurse working in the Pediatric Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplant unit, you will be caring for pediatric and young adult patients with hematologic, oncologic or other blood related disorder diagnoses. Inpatient nursing care for these patients includes medical management of those active in treatment, administering chemotherapy or related therapies, as well as providing care to patients prior to and immediately following hematopoietic cellular therapies, including CAR-T cell infusion and bone marrow transplant. Banner University Medical Center- Tucson is an Academic, Level 1 Trauma Center, with the only dedicated Pediatric Oncology Center in Southern Arizona. While our main focus surrounds excellent patient care, we are heavily involved in clinical research in part due to our close relationship with the University of Arizona, as well as patients with active enrollment in clinical trials through the Children's Oncology Group (COG). This is a full time NIGHT shift opportunity from 7:00PM-7:30AM. You will have the opportunity to utilize our self-scheduling tool for shift and weekend coverage. Enjoy an 18%-night shift differential and a flat rate $3/hour weekend shift differential. POSITION SUMMARY This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under their direction. This position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data and plan, provide and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.
