RNs in the Pediatric Float Pool will float to various inpatient units within the AdventHealth for Children in Orlando. PICU experience highly preferred. Potential Units may include: Peds Med/Surg, Peds PCU, PICU, Peds Cardiac ICU, Peds Oncology and NICU.

Requirements

Associate's of Nursing [Required]
Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
Pediatric Advanced Life Support Cert (PALS) [Required]
Communication, delegation, coordination, evaluation, assessment, and interpersonal skills [Required]
Ability to navigate Microsoft Windows-based programs [Required]

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]
One plus years pediatric nursing experience [Preferred]
PICU experience highly preferred

Responsibilities

Participates in quality improvement activities and reports concerns regarding patient care quality.
Recognize signs of deterioration and escalate care appropriately.
Actively involve and educate parents/caregivers in the child’s plan of care, fostering a trusting partnership.
Adhere strictly to safety protocols, including medication administration checks, patient ID verification, and fall prevention practices.
Other duties as assigned.
