About The Position

This role involves delivering patient care using the nursing process. The nurse will assess learning needs and implement appropriate teaching strategies for diverse patient populations, families, and other groups. Responsibilities include effective communication, delegation, and management of nursing team resources, acting as a leader and partner within an interdisciplinary team. The position also requires using data and information to evaluate and promote change for optimal outcomes, embracing concepts that enhance customer satisfaction, employee morale, and professional nursing improvement. Additionally, the nurse must adapt their behavior to specific patient populations, respecting privacy, introducing themselves appropriately, explaining services and procedures, seeking permissions, and using a suitable communication style. Other related duties as required.

Requirements

  • Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Registered nurse diploma.
  • Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in nursing.
  • Certification in clinical specialty area.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively uses the nursing process in the delivery of patient care.
