About The Position

This position is for a Registered Nurse on a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) working on a PRN basis for day shifts. The role involves providing high-quality patient care, focusing on basic human needs, human respect, understanding unique meanings, affiliation needs, mutual problem-solving, attentive reassurance, an encouraging manner, creating a healing environment, and teamwork. The unit is a 12-bed PCU with NPs onsite 24/7, offering great nurse/doctor collaboration and self-scheduling. The hospital, Texas Health Alliance, is a 151-bed facility serving the North Fort Worth area since 2012, and is Joint Commission-accredited with a Level III NICU, Baby Friendly Facility, and Pathways to Excellence designated.

Requirements

  • Nursing Diploma OR Associate's Degree in Nursing OR Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • 1 year experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program
  • RN - Registered Nurse upon hire
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days
  • CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually within 90 days
  • NIHSS – National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Certification within 60 days
