About The Position

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking nurses for their Nursing Flex Team, offering opportunities for professional and personal growth. The Tier 3 - System Flex Team Traveler Registered Nurse (RN) is expected to be assigned to various sites throughout the Bon Secours Mercy Health System to provide patient care. This role involves promoting and restoring patients’ health through the nursing process, analyzing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care according to established standards. The RN will collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members, provide support to patients and families, and supervise assigned team members. The RN is responsible to the System Flex Nurse Manager. System Flex Team Registered Nurses are hired with the expectation that they must float to assigned sites within the Bon Secours Mercy Health System outside of their home market. The System Flex Team includes various locations across multiple states.

Requirements

  • BLS ACLS - American Heart Association (required)
  • Must have Compact License eNLC RN and/or licensed to work in OH, KY, VA, and SC.
  • Associate of Nursing or Diploma in Nursing (required)
  • One year as a Registered Nurse, minimum with nursing experience in specialty

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors of Science, nursing (preferred)
  • 4-5 years as a Registered Nurse (preferred)
  • 1-2 years as a Travel Nurse (preferred)
  • Ability to function in multiple levels of care (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Float to assigned sites within the Bon Secours Mercy Health System outside of their home market.
  • Conduct an individualized patient assessment, including psychosocial, prioritizing data collection based on the patient’s immediate condition or needs within the timeframe specified by the facility’s policies, procedures, or protocols.
  • Formulate and implement a plan of care for each patient, including interventions, evaluation of response to interventions, and documentation as appropriate to condition and age.
  • Deliver care with appropriate age and cultural competence that is individualized for the patient, reflecting collaboration with other members of the healthcare team and incorporating the professional practice model into care delivery.
  • Demonstrate awareness of and support Bon Secours Mercy Health departmental and operating unit goals through participation in continuous quality improvement and departmental activities as a patient advocate.
  • Maintain in good standing current eNLC RN licensure and required certifications.
