About The Position

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Tier 3 - System Flex Team Traveler Registered Nurse (RN) to provide patient care across various sites within the Bon Secours Mercy Health System. This role involves promoting and restoring patients’ health through the nursing process, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members, and providing support to patients and their families. The RN is responsible for analyzing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care according to established standards. System Flex Team RNs are expected to float to assigned sites outside of their home market. The System Flex Team includes locations in Virginia, Ohio, Kentucky, and South Carolina, with potential for additional locations.

Requirements

  • Individualized patient assessment skills.
  • Ability to formulate and implement a plan of care.
  • Deliver care with appropriate age and cultural competence.
  • Demonstrate awareness of and support departmental and operating unit goals.
  • Maintain in good standing current eNLC RN licensure and required certifications.
  • BLS certification.
  • ACLS certification - American Heart Association.
  • Compact License eNLC RN and/or licensed to work in OH, KY, VA, and SC.
  • Associate of Nursing or Diploma in Nursing (required).
  • One year as a Registered Nurse, minimum with nursing experience in specialty.

Responsibilities

  • Float to assigned sites within the Bon Secours Mercy Health System outside of their home market.
  • Conduct an individualized patient assessment, including psychosocial aspects, prioritizing data collection based on the patient’s immediate condition or needs within the timeframe specified by the facility’s policies, procedures, or protocols.
  • Formulate and implement a plan of care for each patient, including interventions, evaluation of response to interventions, and documentation as appropriate to condition and age.
  • Deliver care with appropriate age and cultural competence that is individualized for the patient, reflecting collaboration with other members of the healthcare team and incorporating the professional practice model into care delivery.
  • Demonstrate awareness of and support Bon Secours Mercy Health departmental and operating unit goals through participation in continuous quality improvement and departmental activities as a patient advocate.
  • Maintain in good standing current eNLC RN licensure and required certifications.
