Community North Campus Surgery Center has an excellent opportunity available within our Patient Rooms/Recovery unit, located in Indianapolis, IN. This skilled RN will be responsible for performing direct patient care postoperatively as part of a surgical care team. Assessing, documenting and managing postoperative pain. Assessing airway adequacy and intervening quickly and appropriately when necessary. Cardiac monitoring and interpretation. Must demonstrate understanding and knowledge of all phases of recovery nursing principles and expectations.

Requirements

  • Graduate of National League for Nursing (NLN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), or National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA) accredited school of nursing, or three years of related professional nursing experience
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license to practice in the state of Indiana as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
  • Strong written, verbal and nonverbal interpersonal and professional communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and multi-task
  • Ability to take direction well but also be self-directed and motivated
  • High degree of responsibility, responsiveness
  • PACU, ED / ER, ICU or similar experience with high acuity patients required
