Registered Nurse (RN) Pain Management SLMC
About The Position
Our Pain Management Clinic is a fast-paced, procedural environment dedicated to improving quality of life for patients with acute and chronic pain conditions such as back, neck, joint pain, spinal stenosis, neuropathy, cancer pain, and more. This position requires excellent communication skills, problem solving abilities, and a willingness to be flexible and self-directed. The clinic hours are 0700-1730, Monday-Friday, with start times varying between 07-0830. Occasional earlier starts may be required to accommodate the procedure schedule. On-call duties include rotating holidays and occasional Monday mornings. This is a very fast-paced, high volume procedural based clinic.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- At least 1 year of RN experience
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in clinical nursing
- Strong IV skills

Responsibilities
- Provide pre-, intra-, and post-procedure care
- Assist with patient exams
- Opportunity to develop expertise in pain pump management and medication coordination
- Collaborate with a team of nurses, techs, clerical staff, and providers
- Gain exposure to advanced procedures: Epidural Steroid Injections, Joint Injections, Nerve Blocks, Radiofrequency Ablations, Kyphoplasty, and Spinal Cord Stimulator Trials
- Engage in specialized roles including Intrathecal Pump management and pharmacy coordination
