About The Position
Lincoln Surgical Hospital is a physician-owned, innovative leader in surgical excellence. We are seeking exceptional Registered Nurses to join our Outpatient Services Unit, where "extraordinary care" isn't just a goal—it’s our standard. As an Outpatient RN, you are the critical link in a patient’s surgical journey. You will provide skilled nursing care during the immediate pre-operative and post-operative phases, using your expertise to ensure safety and clinical excellence.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Active Nebraska RN License (or compact state license with Nebraska residency declared within 30 days).
- Current BLS required.
- ACLS and PALS required within 90 days of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Previous PACU or recovery care experience is preferred, but we value a strong clinical foundation and a passion for outpatient care.
Responsibilities
- Perform admissions, comprehensive assessments, and prepare patients mentally and physically for surgery.
- Receive patients from surgery, monitor post-anesthesia recovery, and manage pain and stabilization.
- Proactively identify and respond to potential medical or surgical complications.
- Lead discharge teaching to ensure patients and families are confident in their recovery at home.
