Our surgical department is made up of a 14 bed Pre-Op, 5 bay PACU and 8 Operating Rooms. With dedicated Surgeons, Nurses and Surgical Technologists, you will gain experience in areas such as General Surgery, OB/GYN, Ortho/Sports Medicine, ENT, Cataracts, Pain, Podiatry, Urology, Bronchoscopies, Endoscopy, Dental Extractions and Peds Dental Restorations. Also included in our services is Outpatient Infusion and Pre-anesthesia Testing.

Requirements

• Active North Carolina or compact state RN license required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.
• Associate’s degree required, BSN preferred.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• AHA ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments
