About The Position

High Point Residence North Aurora is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our nursing team for weekend coverage! This is a great opportunity for a nurse seeking a flexible, part-time schedule while continuing to make a meaningful difference in the lives of older adults. Additional hours may be offered based on community needs and availability. In this role, you will provide high-quality, resident-centered nursing care while supporting the health, safety, comfort, and overall well-being of our residents. You will work collaboratively with residents, families, caregivers, and community leadership to ensure compassionate, individualized care in a welcoming senior living environment.

Requirements

  • Active Illinois RN or LPN license in good standing.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Availability to work scheduled weekend shifts.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous nursing experience in supportive living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, or long-term care.
  • Experience caring for older adults with varying levels of care needs.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct resident assessments and monitor changes in condition.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Document resident care, assessments, and interventions accurately and promptly.
  • Communicate changes in resident condition to appropriate healthcare providers and community leadership.
  • Collaborate with physicians, families, caregivers, and other members of the care team.
  • Assist with developing and implementing individualized resident care plans.
  • Provide education and support to residents and families regarding care needs.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to resident concerns and changes in condition.
  • Follow infection prevention, medication administration, safety, and resident care protocols.
  • Maintain compliance with community policies and applicable state and federal regulations.
