About The Position

Comfort Home Care is seeking Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for Per-Diem positions in the Waltham/Arlington/Lexington area. The position involves building meaningful relationships with patients rather than rushing between visits. Comfort Home Care provides nurses with flexibility, autonomy, and support. The compensation is $35 per visit for an RN or $30 per visit for an LPN, with an expectation of two visits per hour on average. Requirements

Active Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Massachusetts.
One year of nursing experience (home health or psych preferred).
A drive to provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
Reliable transportation for patient visits.

Responsibilities

Assess and Adapt: Evaluate patient's current condition, medical needs, and overall well-being during each visit.
Create and Modify Care Plans: Actively shape patients' treatment plans based on their needs and adjust care as conditions change.
Teach and Support: Provide guidance on medication for psychiatric patients or wound care for post-op patients to help them stay independent at home.
Communicate and Coordinate: Keep providers, families, and care teams informed of any changes to ensure patients receive the right care at the right time.
Document and Reflect: Submit visit notes from home, ensuring accurate record-keeping for compliance and continuity of care.
