About The Position

Great PRN opportunity for a Registered Nurse (RN) to work as an OR Circulator, located about 1 hour outside of New Orleans in Hammond, LA. This role involves managing necessary care inside the surgery room, assisting the team in maintaining a safe environment for the patient, and serving as a liaison between surgeons, anesthesiologists, O.R. Manager, and staff. The position ensures all surgical team members perform in a unified effort, is responsible for smooth and uneventful intraoperative care, and anticipates the needs of the surgical team by ensuring timely availability of supplies and equipment. Patient safety is paramount, achieved through accurate assessment, critical thinking, expert evaluation, and skillful clinical judgment.

Requirements

At least 1 year OR Experience
Active RN license with the State of Louisiana
Active CPR or BLS Certification
Active ACLS Certification
Current TB Skin Test, Quantiferon Results, or Chest X-Ray
Hep B
MMR
Varicella

Responsibilities

Manages all the necessary care inside the surgery room
