About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Operating Room will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. This role utilizes evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and communication skills while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum. The Circulator role includes performing time outs, positioning of the patient, maintaining a sterile and safe environment, preparing the OR with necessary supplies, checking for inventory, and documenting all aspects of the procedure.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
• One year surgical experience (circulator)
