Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room
About The Position
Shriners Children's Chicago has an opportunity for a full-time Operating Room RN. Join a team of professionals committed to improving children's lives. Our top healthcare professionals excel in their practices and provide compassionate, family-centered care to children who need it most. The OR Registered Nurse provides nursing care to our pediatric patients within the operating room, performs assessments and interventions designed to keep the patients safe during surgery. Assists the physician in accomplishing the plan of care for the patient and to provide continuity between the patient care unit and the Operating Room.
Requirements
- BSN degree required or in progress
- Illinois RN license
- 2+ years OR experience
Nice To Haves
- CNOR highly preferred
- Scrub experience
- Prior pediatric acute care, plastic reconstructive surgery, orthopedic and spine experience a plus
Responsibilities
- Provides nursing care to pediatric patients within the operating room.
- Performs assessments and interventions designed to keep patients safe during surgery.
- Assists the physician in accomplishing the plan of care for the patient.
- Provides continuity between the patient care unit and the Operating Room.
