More about our team The Operating Room team at Frye Regional Medical Center offers a fast-paced, collaborative environment where nurses play an essential role in delivering exceptional surgical care. With 13 operating rooms and approximately 15-30 cases performed daily, team members gain diverse procedural experience while working alongside skilled surgeons, anesthesia providers, and perioperative staff. 13 Operating Rooms Supporting a Wide Variety of Surgical Procedures Approximately 15-30 Cases Per Day Collaborative Team Environment with Opportunities to Expand Expertise

Requirements

• Current state RN license
• Active North Carolina RN license (single-state) or compact required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.
• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
• One to Two years of Operating Room RN experience required.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
• Provides care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments
