About The Position

This is a Part-Time Registered Nurse (RN) position located at Corona Regional Medical Center (CRMC) in Corona, CA. The RN in the Recovery Room receives patients from the Operating Room and other ancillary departments. They monitor vital signs, make necessary interventions as prescribed by the surgeon or anesthesiologist, and may assist in the transport of patients to outpatient surgery and surgical floors. The role also involves assisting with monitoring IV sedation and local cases in the Operating Room. The nurse must be able to provide competent care for patients throughout the lifespan, from infancy through geriatrics. Requirements

  • Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of California required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association required.
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification through the American Heart Association required.
  • Assaultive Behavior Management training required within 90 days from date of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • One year prior OR experience preferred.
  • N.O.R. preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Receives patient from the Operating Room and other ancillary departments.
  • Monitors vital signs making necessary interventions as prescribed, within scope of nursing, by surgeon or anesthesiologist.
  • May also assist in transport of patients to outpatient Surgery and surgical floors.
  • Assists with monitor of IV sedation and local cases in the Operating Room.
  • Able to provide competent care for patients throughout the life span, from infancy through geriatric.
  • Assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation and documentation of surgical patients.
  • Overall responsibility is for the nursing care of patients and for maintaining standards of nursing practice and optimal outcomes, including supervision of all categories of nursing personnel.
