Registered Nurse (RN) - Oncology - PT Night
About The Position
ChristianaCare Hospital in Newark, Delaware, is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its 6E Oncology Unit. The nurse will implement a relationship-based care model focused on building strong connections with patients, families, and colleagues, guided by the organization’s values of love and excellence. Unit 6E is a 38-bed inpatient unit specializing in hematology and oncology, providing scheduled and emergency care and procedures 24/7. The unit cares for adult and geriatric patients who need inpatient treatment for their diagnoses or management of treatment-related symptoms. Services include care for cancer diagnoses, chemotherapy administration, and medical management of conditions such as febrile neutropenia, uncontrolled pain, and nausea or vomiting. Patients may be admitted or transferred from home, the emergency department, physicians’ offices, or other hospital units. This is a part-time night-shift position, 24 hours weekly. Shifts may be 12 hours (7 a.m.–7 p.m.) or a combination of 8- and 12-hour shifts depending on departmental needs. Weekend and holiday requirements follow departmental guidelines.
Requirements
- Hold a Delaware RN license or a Compact RN license.
- Have a BSN or commit to obtaining a BSN within three years of hire.
- Have a minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in a hospital-based Medical-Surgical unit.
- Hold current BLS certification.

Responsibilities
