About The Position
Medical Hill Healthcare is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and clinically skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dedicated nursing team on an on-call/per diem basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an RN seeking flexible scheduling while providing high-quality, resident-centered care in a skilled nursing environment.
Requirements
- Current and active California Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Ability to work flexible on-call shifts as needed
- Strong clinical assessment, leadership, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and effectively within a team
- Dependable, compassionate, and resident-centered approach
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
Nice To Haves
- Current CPR certification required or preferred
- Previous skilled nursing, post-acute, or long-term care experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to residents in accordance with individualized care plans
- Assess residents and monitor changes in condition
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered
- Communicate changes in resident condition to physicians and appropriate members of the care team
- Supervise and provide direction to LVNs and CNAs
- Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Participate in admissions, transfers, discharges, and resident assessments as needed
- Coordinate care with physicians, residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team
- Respond promptly to resident needs, emergencies, and changes in condition
- Follow infection prevention and control procedures
- Ensure compliance with facility policies, state and federal regulations, and nursing standards
- Promote resident safety, dignity, comfort, and quality of life
