About The Position

Big Bend Hospice is seeking an experienced, compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dedicated 24-Hour Care Team. This full-time position involves 12-hour night shifts (after-hours coverage beginning at 5:00 PM), with potential for 12-hour day shifts on weekends and holidays. The role offers a 3 Days On / 4 Days Off Rotating Schedule and provides premium pay for night, weekend, and holiday shifts. As an On-Call RN, you'll provide compassionate after-hours nursing care throughout our 8-county service area, responding to urgent patient needs, performing assessments, coordinating care with physicians and the hospice team, triaging calls, and providing education and support to patients and families. You'll ensure timely documentation and deliver high-quality hospice care when it matters most. Requirements

Current Florida RN License (or Compact RN License)
Minimum 3 years of nursing experience
Hospice or Palliative Care experience required
Excellent assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
Ability to work independently and respond calmly during urgent situations
Valid Florida driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance
