About The Position

Reporting to the Team Leader of Health Services, you will serve as a Registered Nurse providing professional nursing care focused on the comfort, health, and well‑being of team members. You will deliver occupational health services within registered nurse scope of practice, support injury management and prevention efforts, and partner with cross‑functional teams to promote a safe and healthy workplace. Schedule: minimum of two shifts per month, 8 hour shift

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited registered nursing program.
  • Current registered nurse license in the state of Arkansas.
  • Two or more years of experience performing nursing duties related to occupational health nursing.
  • Current CPR / First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
  • Knowledge of personal computers and proficiency with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of occupational health regulations and confidentiality requirements, including the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

Responsibilities

  • Perform occupational health services in the provision of supportive or restorative care under physician standing orders.
  • Provide nursing care for occupational and non‑occupational conditions in alignment with Medical Evaluation Guidelines.
  • Administer over‑the‑counter and prescription medications according to standing medication orders and physician direction.
  • Prepare equipment and support examinations and treatments within registered nurse scope of practice.
  • Observe, document, and maintain accurate records of patient care, conditions, reactions, and progress.
  • Communicate work‑related injuries and illnesses to the registered nurse supervisor and third‑party administrator.
  • Assist with follow‑up, maintenance, and documentation of workers’ compensation cases.
  • Maintain occupational health services records and reporting systems in compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration, state, company, and legal requirements.
  • Partner with health, safety, production, and human resources team members to support team member health.
  • Support team member health promotion and education programs.
  • Assist with developing plant health and safety goals and initiatives.
  • Determine the need for additional medical treatment of occupational injuries and coordinate care.
  • Order and maintain health services supplies and personal safety equipment.
