About The Position

As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum. Our unit is a 23-bed Progressive Care Unit specializing in neurological care. We are recognized as a Primary Stroke Center and hold Advanced Spine Care Certification, ensuring the highest standards of treatment and monitoring for complex neurological conditions. The primary population includes stroke patients requiring specialized interventions, elective spine surgeries with advanced post-operative care, seizure disorders needing continuous observation and management, and patients requiring progressive/step-down level monitoring and interventions. We also provide care for patients with other neurological conditions, including Myasthenia Gravis, Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), Huntington’s Disease, Dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease. Our team delivers comprehensive, evidence-based care tailored to the unique needs of neurological patients, combining advanced monitoring technology with compassionate, patient-centered interventions.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

Nice To Haves

  • ACLS Preferred
  • Telemetry experience
  • Experience with critical drips such as Cardizem, Cardene, Amiodarone, Heparin, Insulin
  • NIHSS experience
  • Neuro patient care experience
