Registered Nurse RN Neuro Surgical Trauma ICU
About The Position
Saint Alphonsus Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to join their Neuro Surgical Trauma (NeST) ICU team at their Level II Trauma Center in Boise, Idaho. This unit is Idaho's first and only Neuro, Surgical, Trauma Unit, caring for complex neurological, surgical, or traumatic injury/illness cases requiring intensive care. The unit consists of 18 critical care beds and utilizes state-of-the-art technology and equipment. The role offers unique experience in a high-acuity environment, working with advanced technology and the region's most advanced Trauma Center (Level II) and a Level I Comprehensive Stroke Center. The health system is a faith-based, not-for-profit organization serving Idaho, Oregon, and northern Nevada communities, with a commitment to patient-centered, physician-led, innovative, and community-based care.
Requirements
- Idaho or multistate RN license (must establish Idaho residency within 6 months if applicable)
- BLS certification
- ACLS and PALS required within designated timelines
Responsibilities
- Utilizing skills in a Level II Trauma Center and a Level I Comprehensive Stroke Center
- Gaining experience working in the FIRST and ONLY Neuro Surgical Trauma Unit in Idaho
- Working with the only board certified, fellowship-trained neuro critical care doctors in the state
- Caring for patients with neurological, surgical, or traumatic injury/illness that require intensive level care
- Providing next level care for patients in a state-of-the-art unit with the newest and most advanced technology and equipment
