This is a full-time Registered Nurse position in the Nephrology department. The role involves providing ongoing patient care using the nursing process, recognizing and responding to changes in patient status, and determining care priorities. The nurse will perform triage, communicate with the healthcare team, document patient information, prepare patients for exams, perform laboratory procedures, assist with procedures, administer medications, and initiate/maintain IV therapy. Patient education, follow-up on tests and referrals, and performing advanced clinical tasks are also key responsibilities. The role includes organizing and preparing exam rooms and equipment, and maintaining clinic equipment. The nurse must demonstrate knowledge of age-appropriate care and principles of growth and development.
