About The Position
At Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, the Registered Nurse (RN) in the Intensive Care Unit (MSICU) delivers patient care to individuals in critical condition. This role is not designed for new graduates or those seeking training for Intensive Care nursing. Candidates must be able to function independently in the ICU, and their resumes must demonstrate expertise in ICU-level patient care.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate’s degree in Nursing is required
- Valid RN license in Connecticut
- Candidates with a minimum of one year of acute inpatient nursing experience will be considered for training.
- Candidates must be able to function independently in the ICU, and their resumes must demonstrate expertise in ICU-level patient care.
Nice To Haves
- BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
- ACLS certification, support available for certification post-hire.
Responsibilities
- Assume responsibility for Critical Care Patients, conducting assessments, devising care plans, and adjusting critical drips to ensure hemodynamic stability and appropriate sedation levels.
- Attend to patients requiring advanced monitoring, heightened observation, utilization of invasive equipment, and administration of intricate medication regimens.
Benefits
- Specialty pay available for experienced nurses with one or more years of RN experience.
- RN Step Program pay range: $36.15 to $59.95.
