About The Position
Sentara is hiring an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Mother Baby unit at Norfolk General Hospital, in Norfolk Virginia. This is a full-time position for the night shift (7p-7a). The Sentara Norfolk General Mother-Baby Unit is a 30-bed unit where nurses assess new mothers, ensure proper healing, and provide self-care education. Nurses also assess newborns, provide care such as feeding and swaddling, and educate new mothers on infant care, encouraging rooming-in for mother and baby.
Requirements
- RN Degree REQUIRED
- Candidates must have a passion for Women's Health

Responsibilities
- Assess new mothers to ensure proper healing.
- Provide self-care education to new mothers.
- Assess newborns.
- Provide care for newborns including feeding and swaddling.
- Educate new mothers on proper infant care.
