About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) is responsible for evaluating assigned patients and planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care. This role involves delivering excellent nursing care to a diverse patient population with complex concerns. The RN performs various patient tests, administers medications within the scope of practice, and promotes patient independence by establishing care goals and educating patients and families on their conditions, medications, and self-care skills. The position relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
Must have previous RN experience
PA Registered Nurse License

Experience working with a variety of different, complex patient populations including Multi-System Organ Dysfunction, Cardiac Arrest, including Therapeutic Temperature Management, Critical Condition(s) with Underlying Psychiatric Component, Respiratory Failure, Hepato-Renal Disease, Acute Kidney Failure requiring Renal Replacement Therapy, CVA w/ post-thrombolytic therapy and/or mechanical thrombectomy.
Experience working within a Level I Trauma Center.
Experience in a rapidly expanding Cardiothoracic and Neurosurgical Programs environment.
