About The Position
Avita Health System is seeking dedicated Registered Nurse (RN)s Weekend Warriors to join their MedSurg Department. This position will float between their 3 hospitals. The role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the nursing care of patients. The RN is responsible for ensuring continuity of care between shifts by providing direct care and supervising nursing assistants, LPNs, and supportive staff. The position also includes patient and family teaching and acting as a patient advocate in alignment with the organization's mission.
Requirements
- Two (2) or more years of previous nursing experience.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
- Current BLS & ACLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- Critical Care Experience highly preferred
- Previous telemetry experience.
- PALS certification. (For charge trained nurses.)
Responsibilities
- Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the nursing care of patients within the nursing unit.
- Ensures continuity of care of the patients between shifts by providing direct care.
- Supervises the care given by nursing assistants, LPNs and supportive staff members.
- Participates in patient and family teaching.
- Maintains role as patient advocate with a focus on the organization’s mission.
