About The Position

Centerpoint – Georgetown, formerly Georgetown Community Hospital, is part of Lifepoint Health, a diversified healthcare delivery network. As a Med/Surg RN joining the team, you're embracing a vital mission dedicated to making communities healthier. The Med/Surg unit is the largest inpatient unit at Centerpoint – Georgetown, featuring 20 private patient rooms and caring for an average daily census of 18 patients, with the flexibility to accommodate up to 25 patients when needed. It is a high-volume unit that discharges more than 100 patients each month.

Requirements

• Current Kentucky or compact state RN license
• Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school
• Associates Degree in Nursing, Required
• Current RN to practice in the state of (KY)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Preferred

Responsibilities

• Assesses the patient’s condition and nursing care needs
• Sets goals and prescribes appropriate nursing interventions to meet physical, psychological, social and rehabilitative needs of patients
• Develops individual nursing care plans
• Implements care plans and makes revisions as needed
• Evaluates patient care outcomes
• Collaborates with physicians and other hospital employees
• Administers medications, treatments and therapies.
• Communicates with patients and oversees provision of care.
• Provides patients and/or family with instruction and education relevant to condition.
• Accurately documents nursing observations, assessments, medications, treatments, and other care given.
