About The Position
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join a Medical/Surgical Stroke Stepdown unit. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, prior travel experience, and the ability to work in a fast-paced acute care environment.
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years of Medical/Surgical experience with Stroke Stepdown experience
- Prior travel experience required
- Active RN License (New York)
- AHA BLS Certification (Current)
- NIHSS Certification (required; can be obtained prior to start)
- Experience with EPIC EMR system
- Completed skills checklist matching specialty
- NURSYS report verifying all active RN licenses
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in a Med/Surg Stroke Stepdown unit
- Monitor and manage patients with conditions such as stroke, altered mental status, renal failure, COPD, CHF, pneumonia, and other general medical-surgical diagnoses
- Utilize clinical equipment including IV pumps, NG tubes, and feeding tubes
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
- Float to other units as required based on staffing needs
