About The Position
5D is a 35 bed medical telemetry inpatient unit located on the 5th floor at Christiana Hospital. We are a stroke over flow unit in addition to encompassing a wide variety of other diagnoses as well as ages. We also have a partnership with CCHP (Christiana Care Hospitalist Partners) by cohorting their patients on our unit. We are currently seeking an experienced RN to work 36 hours per week, Day shift at Christiana Hospital. Weekend and Holidays per the guidelines of the department. Typical shift is 7a - 7p.
Requirements
- Current Delaware RN license or eligibility for Delaware RN license.
- 1-2 years of med/surg experience preferred.
- BLS required.
Nice To Haves
- BSN preferred.
- Commitment to obtaining BSN within three years of date of hire can be considered with relevant experience.
- Telemetry experience a plus.
- Excellent partnership within and across disciplines.
- Strong critical thinking and prioritization skills.
- Ability to anticipate the needs of others by helping with compassion and generosity.
Responsibilities
- Provide care on a 35-bed medical telemetry inpatient unit, serving as a stroke overflow unit.
- Manage a variety of diagnoses and age groups.
- Collaborate with Christiana Care Hospitalist Partners (CCHP) by cohorting their patients on the unit.
- Work 36 hours per week, primarily on the day shift (7a - 7p).
- Adhere to department guidelines for weekend and holiday work.
