Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Stepdown
About The Position
This position is for a Medical Stepdown Nurse at Lankenau Medical Center, working every other weekend on Saturday and Sunday nights. The role involves collaborating with an interdisciplinary team on a 17-bed unit, providing care and treatment to medical/respiratory/cardiac stepdown patients. The position encourages professional development through MLH Education & Development Classes, performance appraisals, and 1:1 communication with managers. Opportunities exist to get involved in hospital and system-wide Nursing Committees, Unit Councils, research projects, precepting, and the Clinical Ladder program. Requirements
- One year of recent Stepdown level Nurse experience required.
- RN Diploma, ASN required.
- PA RN license OR a multi-state license verified in one of the approved states through the Nursing Licensure Compact.
- Provider BLS (American Heart Assoc/American Red Cross) required.
Nice To Haves
- BSN preferred.
- ACLS preferred.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team within the 17-bed unit.
- Provide care and treatment for medical/respiratory/cardiac stepdown patient population.
- Attend MLH Education & Development Classes.
- Participate in performance appraisals and 1:1 communication with manager for career development.
- Become engaged by joining hospital & system-wide Nursing Committees, Unit Councils, evidence-based research projects, precepting new staff, and pursuing the Clinical Ladder program.
