Work location: Texas Health Fort Worth, 1304 Pennsylvania Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76104. Work hours: Full-time, 36 hours weekly, 3-12 hours shifts, 7:00 pm – 7:00 am. Department highlights: 28-bed Medical PCU department. Intermediate level of care to a wide variety of medical patients at a 3:1 patient to nurse ratio. This patient population requiring specialized monitoring and interventions, includes patient diagnosis such as: diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), respiratory compromised patients that require specialized equipment including continuous respiratory interventions, home ventilation systems, and tracheostomy care, multi-system organ failure, respiratory distress, sepsis, hematology, GI Bleeds, Renal/Liver Failure, Acid-Base and Electrolyte Imbalances, and cardiac abnormalities. Medication management includes continuous and titratable IV medications to support the intermediate care population. MAGNET facility Level I Trauma Center Primary Heart Attack Center PHAC.
