About The Position

The Medical Cardiac ICU at Inova Loudoun Hospital is seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to join their amazing team. This is a full-time, night shift position, 7:00pm – 7:00am. 3 x 12-hour shifts/week. Must be able to orient during various shifts. This Beacon Award Winning Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is a challenging Medical/Cardiac ICU that cares for a variety of diagnoses in our 12-bed unit. The patient population includes but is not limited to end-stage disease processes, sepsis, advanced heart failure, stroke, cardiac arrest, respiratory failure and others that require more intensive nursing care. Inova Loudoun Hospital is a growing 211-bed nationally recognized acute-care community hospital with a rich history of proudly serving our growing and diverse community since 1912. Requirements

• 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a critical care setting or completion of a critical care fellowship.
• BLS for healthcare provider certification from AHA required.
• ACLS (must obtain within 6 months of hire).
• RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as an RN.
• BSN from an accredited school of nursing.
• If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN)- must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.

• Integrates knowledge, skills, and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families throughout the continuum, including patient and family education.
• Uses an integrated approach toward patient outcomes.
• Serves as an empowering body to influence patient empowerment, and successful outcomes of financial and clinical quality, through relationships and access-based knowledge. Utilizes standards, guidelines, and pathways for care delivery.
• Determines process for delivery of care from direct patient and family communication, technology, and other healthcare team member collaboration.
• Ensures improvements in practice settings by assuming responsibility for self-development in life-long learning.
