This is a full-time Registered Nurse position in the Medical/Surgical unit, working night shifts. The role involves engaging in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices. The nurse will utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care, engaging patients and families throughout the continuum of care. Responsibilities include monitoring patient conditions, adjusting care plans, mobilizing resources, collaborating with the care team, and upholding a culture of safety. The role may involve administering medications and treatments, demonstrating effective communication, fostering team collaboration, and pursuing professional development. Adherence to ethical standards and appropriate delegation are expected. Accurate electronic health record (EHR) documentation is required. The nurse may be required to float to other units to meet patient care needs and must demonstrate knowledge of age-specific care. This position requires the ability to perform various physical tasks throughout the workday and may involve exposure to hazardous materials.
