This Registered Nurse position in the Medical Surgical unit (2E) at Atrium Health Lincoln is a full-time role requiring 36 hours per week, primarily on day shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM. The nurse will utilize the nursing process for patient assessment, planning, diagnosis, implementation, and evaluation, involving patients and families throughout their care continuum. Key responsibilities include monitoring patient conditions, adjusting care plans, mobilizing resources, collaborating with the care team to improve outcomes, and upholding a culture of safety. The role also involves continuous evaluation of patient, team, and unit outcomes, administering medications and treatments safely, demonstrating effective communication and conflict resolution, fostering team collaboration, and appropriate delegation. Professional development, continuing education, and maintaining certifications are essential. The nurse must adhere to the ANA Code of Ethics, practice ethical decision-making, respect interdisciplinary roles, and contribute to integrated, unbiased patient care. Accurate and timely EHR documentation is required. The position may require floating to other units or facilities to meet patient care needs and necessitates demonstrating knowledge and skills for age-appropriate patient care, including understanding growth and development across the lifespan.
