Registered Nurse (RN) Med Surg, PRN
About The Position
Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) is seeking a Med Surg/Cardiac Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Intermediate Care unit. This role establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families. The RN promotes and restores patients' health by completing the nursing process, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members, providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families, and supervising assigned team members. The position also promotes patient's independence by establishing patient care goals, teaching patient, friends, and family to understand condition, medications, and self-care skills, and answering questions. The RN assures quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards, measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and standards, making or recommending necessary adjustments, and following nursing philosophies and standards of care set by state board of nursing, state nurse practice act, and other governing agency regulations.
Requirements
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in state of practice is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in healthcare is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is preferred.
