About The Position

Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN)- Med Surg/Telemetry for a 13-week travel assignment in Windsor, VT. This role combines medical-surgical nursing with intensive rehabilitation, focusing on patients recovering from surgery, serious illness, or injury to restore function and independence through therapies (physical, occupational, speech) and specialized medical/nursing care, often in an inpatient setting, aiming to improve quality of life by treating the whole person. The assignment is for 13 weeks with a start date of 8/3/2026. The position requires the nurse to work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with a 36-hour guarantee. Weekend and holiday requirements are every other weekend/holidays as needed. On-call requirements are to be determined. The facility uses Cerner EMR, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 to 4/5 and an average daily patient census of 22. Local travelers residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible. An 8-hour non-billable orientation is provided. Travelers requesting schedule accommodations or working in conjunction with another assignment are not eligible. Requested time off during the assignment must be noted and verified at upload, with no more than 5 days accepted. All scheduling requests must be made at the time of submission. Block scheduling will not be considered for this Med Surg position. A personal vehicle is required as there is no public transport. Call is required for this need.

Requirements

  • 2 years recent Med Surg & Rehab experience
  • May float between Acute Rehab and Med Surg and to any unit within scope of practice
  • CHARGE RN EXPERIENCE - Not negotiable!
  • Previous Travel (at least 3 months)
  • Must have Vermont RN License or Compact - Must be uploaded with profile
  • Must have and maintain current Active American Heart Association ACLS
  • Must have and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association during employment
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • May be asked to work as a backup Charge Nurse
  • Coordinates total nursing care for patients
