About The Position

This is a 0.9 FTE day shift position for a Registered Nurse (RN) in Medical Surgical/Telemetry. The hours are 7 am- 7:30 pm with every other weekend and holiday rotation. The unit is a 34-bed medical telemetry unit that typically cares for adult patients with pneumonia, COPD, asthma, CHF, and tracheostomies. The unit has two negative pressure isolation rooms and the capability to dialyze up to four patients when necessary. The unit also provides medical-surgical nursing care for general medical and medical telemetry patients.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Utilize evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and communication skills.
• Lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
