About The Position
This is a Part-Time Days position for a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Ortho Plastics Department at Texas Health Fort Worth. The role involves delivering care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. The post-surgical team provides care to patients undergoing Ortho and plastic surgeries, hip fractures, elective hip and knee surgeries, flaps, graphs, reconstructive plastic hip fractures, single fractures, chest tubes, trachs, and pelvic and femur fractures. This is an opportunity to increase skills and make a difference in the community.
Requirements
- Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program or Diploma of Nursing.
- Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire
- BCLS – prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly
- CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days of hire
- 1-year experience as a registered nurse required or completion of an RN Residency program required.
Nice To Haves
- BSN preferred
- Previous Med/surg RN or ER experience preferred
Responsibilities

- Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers
