Registered Nurse (RN) - Main OR Weekend Program
About The Position
The Weekend Program offers a weekend-only shift schedule with enhanced compensation. This program requires a 12-month commitment to work 48 scheduled weekends within a 12-month period, beginning with the first shift worked. Participants receive a Weekend Program Premium of $10/hour. A travel allowance is available for eligible employees traveling greater than 75 miles one way. The Main OR is a fast-paced, team-based, and technologically advanced environment where critical thinking and hands-on skills are essential. This role offers a challenging and engaging workplace that will expand your clinical expertise and strengthen interdisciplinary relationships in a critical care setting. You will receive a focused orientation tailored to your experience level, ensuring a strong and efficient transition into practice.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in a surgical setting; scrub and circulate experience required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a specific service line: Gynecology, Urology, Orthopedics, General Surgery, Plastics, ENT, or Neuro
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to excellence in patient care and professional growth
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program required.
- Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
Nice To Haves
- Scrub experience is preferred.
